Another Fundraising Opportunity

Hey Gang, Rach here,

I just wanted to let you in on another fundraising opportunity. My boss is in need of some major work around her house. She needs help in some grounds work (trimming tree branches, filling gopher holes, etc.) (the complete list to come) and she asked me if we might be willing to help her out. She will pay us a good amount of money towards our trip for our work. I will have more details to come but we’ve scheduled it for: Sunday, July 6 (after church). She will provide food, drinks and other yummies. I know that this is short notice but this is something to not miss out on!!!!!

Personal Contribution Due!

Hi Everyone and happy post-VBS!!!

This is a friendly reminder that our personal contributions of $300 were due last Friday, June 20th. With the business of VBS week, I know we have all been quite preoccupied! Nevertheless, V-B-S is officially D-U-N and our mission trip is less than 3 weeks away! (YEAH!)

I am asking that each team member pays his/her balance by this Friday, June 27th. I believe everyone has paid at least a $50 deposit, so your balance will be $300 minus whatever you have already paid. Joyce, Carissa and I will work on emailing your support AND personal contribution balances to you before the end of this week. In the meantime, you may call/email us on Wednesday to find out.

Also, all support was due last Friday. A good chunk o’ dough came in during VBS week. Once we determine your support balances, some of you may need to contact supporters from whom you have NOT received any response–if you’re still short of your support goal. By “contact” I mean you can either email/call them to ask them to please return their support cards, regardless of whether or not they can give financially.

Flower Fun & Support

Hello fellow Undergrounders, and parents,

I just want to quickly give you some updates concerning the Mother’s Day Flower Fundraiser, as well as the next step for support letters.

Mother’s Day Flower’s

Much of what we are doing with this fundraiser is almost exactly the same as what we did for the car wash fundraiser. Meaning that you will each have envelopes with your name on them in the conference room tomorrow (Saturday) during the 5 O’clock service.
The envelopes will have an order sheet, so please take orders for the flowers and encourage people to pay for their order as well. The cost is $20 per flower arrangement but people can certainly give more if they like!
You guys ROCKED selling the car wash tickets…now you can ROCK flower orders on behalf of all the mom’s, grandma’s, aunt’s, “mother figures” out there!!

Support Letters

Most of you have already emailed me your REVISED support letters, so if you HAVE NOT emailed your revised letter to me, please do that to me today!
For those who have emailed revised letters to me, your letters will be ready and printed for you in the conference room for you to pick up during the 5 O’clock service as well.
Once you’ve picked up your letters, and other info, you can mail them out! Don’t forget to change the date on your support slip to June 20th. Be sure to include a personal note on your letters to your supporters (check out the mailing instructions). We want these letters to be in the mail by Monday or Tuesday.
As you begin to mail your letters, please make a list of who you are sending your letters out to and email it to either myself or Josh by Friday, May 9th.

Important Support Letter Update… (Parents take note!)

I am making some changes to our support letter timeline.

Are you ready?! Please make the changes on your outline from our first Training Meeting (April 12th). I’ll print out a revised outline for our next meeting on Saturday, May 10th.

OK, here we go:

New Final Draft mailing date: Friday, May 2nd–one week from this coming Friday. This is one week later than the original date
New support giving deadline: Friday, June 20th–the first day of summer, and one week later than the original date.
SUPER-DUPER IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR YOUR ACTUAL LETTERS. You’ll need to add a detail to your FINAL DRAFT: The revised support-giving deadline (the support cards will still say June 13th).

Please note that ALL rough drafts of your letters should be submitted to Rachael (princesspickles10@gmail.com) by now. We’ll get ‘em edited and back to you ASAP–by the end of this week.
