Team Dinner!
Hey everybody…
The mission trip is coming soon, only 3 weeks away!!!! To get to know each other better, next week, Thursday July 3rd, we’ll be having a Mexico mission team dinner @ Rudy and Carissa Medina’s house from 6-9 pm. Yummy Mexican food will be served… It would be great if some of you can bring chips/salsa, drinks, and/or dessert. I’ll let you know what you can bring when you RSVP. Oh, and yes–we’ll play some fun games, too!

Hi everyone,
Just a brief reminder about our BIG team day this Saturday. Here’s the overview:
9am: Meet in Assembly room for BREAKFAST(!) with campus family (thanks, Michael Martinez… Come on, PEOPLE!). We’ll eat, play and clean with our friends, and end this portion of our day with LUNCH(!!) (and another thanks to Senor Martinez!)
12:30ish: We’ll head to the Fireside Room for our team meeting. In addition to hearing from a guest speakers, we’ll also get some basic Spanish Lessons from Yolanda Miller and Vici Herkomer! Muchisimas Gracias, senoras!
3pm: We’ll be done!
As always, please bring your team binder, journal, pen/pencil, and a note pad (or note paper for your binder). Get ready to get your Espanol on!

Flower Frenzy & This Weekend’s Team Meeting
Hey everyone,
Here’s snipet of our flower frenzy. We raised $1,400!!!! Give yourself a hug (if your arms are long enough). Just a reminder, THIS Saturday we have our Team Meeting at 12:00 pm. Bring a lunch!!! Although it is Memorial Day Weekend, this meeting has been on the schedule, so if you WILL NOT be coming, please let Josh, Carissa, or myself (Rachae) know ASAP. Remember, this meeting IS required.

Now is the Time to Worship!
Hey, thanks to Mark Manchester for delivering the word on Saturday, and making us all go, “Hmmm…” As Mark looked at what the Bible has to say about worship and praise (and how they are different), we all came away from our training time much encouraged–and with newfound understanding of God’s kingdom principles. In other words, we got schooled!
Let’s all remember the main point: Worship isn’t so much about what we do on the weekends when we’re at church…as it is about how we live our lives all week long. When we put our needs aside, put those of others first–and give of ourselves for their sake–we experience first-hand what it is to worship (serve) God.
Go team! We’re gonna worship all trip long…and then some. And we don’t even have to have good voices.

IT’S ON!!!
Saturday, April 12th was our first official training meeting…and it was a good one! After having lunch together, we spent a good chunk of time going over guidelines and logistics for the trip (upcoming meetings and events, support letters and fundraising process, etc.). We had the VERY fun privilege of hearing from Johanna Hom, who spoke on UNITY…and told a GREAT and memorable story to illustrate her point. Everyone on the team was tuned in and engaged with what was being said. We wrapped up our time together in small group prayer–the focus being (yep, you guessed it!) UNITY.
PARENTS AND YOUTH WHO WERE UNABLE TO ATTEND, PLEASE CONNECT WITH ME SOON SO I CAN FILL YOU IN ON THE IMPORTANT MATERIAL WE COVERED DURING OUR SATURDAY MEETING.
Our next time together as a team will be this coming Saturday, April 19th from 9am – noon. We’ll be serving together as a team on campus. We’ll meet at The Spot for donuts and a team activity before we get our SERVE on!
ALSO coming up soon is our first team FUNDRAISER: The Nation Underground CAR WASH on Sunday, April 27th, from 11:30 – 1:30 at The Coastlands. YOUTH, please stop by the Conference Room this Saturday during the 5pm service to pick up your car wash tickets. You’ll have this coming weekend and the following weekend to sell your tickets.
